Deborah Jieun Song earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego and her Juris Doctor from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law. During law school, Deborah’s first internship was at a boutique criminal defense firm in Irvine. Then she became a certified law student and advocated for victims of felony domestic violence and child abuse and endangerment at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Family Protection Unit. Deborah also mediated real small claims matters at the Central Justice Center through Chapman Law’s Mediation Clinic and became a certified court mediator. Throughout law school, Deborah held various leadership roles in different law student associations, including the role of President of both the Asian Pacific American and Korean American Law Student Associations. She also received two CALI awards for highest class grade and the Ryan L. Odenwalder Endowed Memorial Scholarship Award for commitment to community service and good academic standing.
